Writer’s blockade

This week’s post is brief, because I’m only writing it to avoid working on my novel, which brings me very quickly to this week’s topic:  writer’s blockade.

The-10-Common-Types-of-Writers-Block-and-How-to-Overcome-Them-QuicklyI don’t suffer from writer’s block, defined as “a condition…in which an author loses the ability to produce new work.”  I’m really lucky that there is usually some idea or image buzzing around my brain that I want to explore.  I am even luckier that I actually need to write in order to sort out my thoughts and make sense of my experiences:  writing is a large part of how I process the world, and it’s actually necessary for my mental well-being.
