If writing is not fun for you, we have little to say to each other. But if you believe that, no matter how fun, writing is work, I understand completely. While you should be writing, writing constantly, you should also take a break every now and then, to remind your imagination of the joy that comes from telling stories.

1) Loaded Questions

It’s a board game. The basic idea is to ask a question or give a command (Describe God in one word. If you could destroy one country on Earth, which would it be? If you were writing a book, what would it be about?) and then attempt to match the written-out answers with the correct person. Among co-workers or Bible-study group members, the idea is to break the ice. Among writers, the idea is for each person to come as a character she wants to know better…
